Alistair Danhieux

“AN ENGLISHMAN IN FRANCE”. After traversing continents, Alistair found his home in St Amand en Puisaye in 2003, venturing into ceramics. Using high-firing stoneware and porcelain as his canvas, Alistair's hand-painted objets d’art draw inspiration from Asian cultures, showcasing Tibetan mandalas, Indian mehndi motifs, and traditional tattoos. His work is a blend of meticulous craftsmanship and cultural inspiration, reflecting a unique testament to his creative journey. Alistair's evolving creative process involves daily meditation, stepping back to let the work flow “through” him rather than “from” him. This introspective approach adds a profound layer to the narrative of his artistic expression.
