In its original setting, the screen presents a striking contrast of tactile, sensual materials, with Art Deco motifs that delight the senses. For the AD 2018 exhibition, Humbert & Poyet envisioned an intimate, nocturnal smoking room in the neo–Art Deco spirit—an atmosphere both hushed and refined, defined by strong architectural lines and a subtle sense of drama. It pays tribute to the most elegant Parisian nights of the 1920s and ’30s.
A sculptural screen in the neo–Art Deco spirit.
Limited edition of 12.
The Story of an Encounter. That of a Monegasque, Christophe Poyet, and a Parisian, Emil Humbert. The first is a CFAI interior architect and a graduate of the prestigious Académie Charpentier in Paris, the second is a DPLG architect (Graduated by the Government) and studied at the Ecole Nationale d'Architecture Paris-Belleville. In 2007, they decided to join forces to create the Humbert & Poyet agency in the Principality. Seventeen years later, this young duo is among the finest in Monaco: restaurants such as Beefbar or Song Qi, showrooms, offices, villas, apartments, hotels. In Monaco always, but also in Paris, Berlin, London, Mexico City, Dubai, Hong Kong ... Their chic and unique style pays tribute to the design of the 50s and 70s. With Maison Pouenat, two complementary visions with common values are in dialogue around an aesthetic carried by the Art Deco heritage, the love of metal and a sharp sense of detail.
