Chronos, Kairos and Aiôn were the companions from the idea to the object, while creating Stigma. Representing 3 notions of time in a single object. Measurable physical time (Chronos) by engraving. The lines symbolize the trials, travels, encounters and scars that life leaves in and on each of us. The time of the cycles (Aiôn) by the form. Its feminine curves symbolize motherhood, fertility and life. They are timeless. Metaphysical time, not measurable, (Kairos) by color. It is cold and dark but the light goes through it delicately. The colors change by how light strikes it, giving the feeling of seeing multiple pieces in one unique object, the eternal change. This piece is in constant vibration.
A TRUE FAMILY STORY. Founded in 2021 by Victor, a dedicated glassblower and designer trained under luminaries like Phillip Baldwin and Monica Guggisberg, Atelier Stokowski is a labor of love shared with his brothers, Theo and Jimmy. Nestled just outside Paris, this workshop masters ancient techniques like glassblowing, engraving, sandblasting, and filigreeing. Here, glass comes to life, shaped into poetic and delicate decorative and lighting pieces. Each creation is a testament to their artistry, a fusion of tradition and innovation, making Atelier Stokowski a name synonymous with craftsmanship and creativity.
