The Filae series employs the timeless art of glass blowing with filigree, an intricate form of craftsmanship that can be traced back to ancient origins.
The idea that the “Vetro a filigrana” are constrained lines created by the combination of fire and blowing to design a curved motion on a stationary object, motivated the curiosity of Atelier Stokowski to create different patterns. These objects are both rooted and in constant movement. Adding a piece of solid colored glass, as in balance, reinforces the contrast between lines, colors and transparency.
A TRUE FAMILY STORY. Founded in 2021 by Victor, a dedicated glassblower and designer trained under luminaries like Phillip Baldwin and Monica Guggisberg, Atelier Stokowski is a labor of love shared with his brothers, Theo and Jimmy. Nestled just outside Paris, this workshop masters ancient techniques like glassblowing, engraving, sandblasting, and filigreeing. Here, glass comes to life, shaped into poetic and delicate decorative and lighting pieces. Each creation is a testament to their artistry, a fusion of tradition and innovation, making Atelier Stokowski a name synonymous with craftsmanship and creativity.
