Julien Scarbonchi is a self-taught designer. From his journeys in Corsica, he learned about trees, the feel of wood, and metalwork through knives made in the local village cutlery shop. At a very young age, he learned the art of sculpting and metalworking through the creation of jewelry, which sparked his desire to create.
Over the past 25 years, Julien has been a creative director for jewelry brands. His passion for art and body ornamentation then led him to explore interior design. His jewelry creations took on a whole new dimension in his abundantly creative spirit, and in his hands, always twisting, bending, and curving metal. Thus were born his tables, chairs, wall lamps, and lighting fixtures, always with the principle of collaborating with artisans.
Today, Julien Scarbonchi and Maison Pouenat introduce his first furniture collection, named Arti.
